Brooklyn Nets Tickets
Long known as the New Jersey Nets, the Brooklyn Nets were only recently renamed in 2012. The Nets were a powerhouse in the ABA as one of the league's original teams, winning two national championships in 1974 and 1976, as well as a Division title in 1974. While the Brooklyn Nets have posted strong postseasons in the NBA, they have yet to recapture the success they enjoyed in the ABA, winning a pair of Conference titles and four Division titles.
Recent seasons from the Brooklyn Nets have made it clear that the team is in a rebuilding era. During the 2010 season, the Nets managed to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, the first time since facing them in the 2003 NBA Finals. This win fortunately helped the Nets escape NBA infamy by taking them out of the running for the "worst season in NBA history." The Nets finished with a 12-70 record, just ahead of the record-holder, the 9-73 finishing Philadelphia 76ers of 1972-73.
The Brooklyn Nets are hoping that their recent move to Brooklyn and addition of their "Core Four" squad of Brook Lopez, Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace, and Joe Johnson will help the team advance to a national championship this year.
