New York Knicks Tickets
The New York Knicks are a storied franchise, one of only two teams in the NBA that still plays in the city where the team was founded (the Boston Celtics have also always called Boston their home). The name "Knicks" is actually a shortened version of the team's real name, the Knickerbockers. Knickerbockers is a reference to the Washington Irving book, A History of New York, in which Irving began the practice of referring to New Yorkers as Knickerbockers. New York Knicks tickets grant fans access to Madison Square Garden, one of the most famous arenas in the world.
Since founding in 1946, as one of the original members of the Basketball Association of America, the New York Knicks have accumulated a solid record of postseason play, capturing four Division Titles, eight Conference Titles, and a pair of national championships. While the Knicks were dominant in early play, they entered a long drought that was only ended by Red Holzman, the team's head coach beginning in the late 1960s. Holzman eventually led the team to their two national championships in 1970 and 1973. The Knicks became one of the greatest NBA teams once again in the 1990s, led by basketball legends Patrick Ewing and Pat Riley.
