Philadelphia 76ers Tickets
Few teams in the NBA have experienced such dramatically uplifting victories and absolutely crushing defeats as the Philadelphia 76ers. The old NBA team (joining in 1949) amassed a considerable amount of playoff victories in their long history, winning three national championships, nine Conference titles, and five Division titles. But the Philadelphia 76ers also collapsed in the 1970s. In front of a shocked Philadelphia crowd, the 1972-73 76ers finished the worst season in NBA history, 9-73, a record that earned them the nickname "Nine and 73-ers." Three coaches would struggle to rescue the 76ers, but only the final coach, Gene Shue, would lead the team to previously enjoyed heights.
More recently, the Philadelphia 76ers entered a three-way trade with the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Orlando Magic in August of 2012. While Philadelphia sent All-Star Andre Iguodala to Denver, who joined Charles Barkley as the only two 76ers to win Olympic gold medals while playing for the team, the 76ers picked up Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, from the Magic and Los Angeles, respectively. Despite recent losing seasons, the 76ers are hoping that a new squad will keep Philadelphia 76ers tickets selling hot and recapture past postseason successes.
