“All the Hits” Tour

Lionel Richie “All the Hits” Tour with Mariah Carey

Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey are hitting the road for the “All the Hits” tour. This is the first time the two have toured together and it’s the first time Carey has toured North America in over six years. With more than 35 dates in play already, fans will have little trouble seeing these two stars at their favorite venues.

The tour kicks off on March 15 in Baltimore, Maryland. The final show as of now is scheduled for Vancouver, British Columbia, on April 27. Currently, there are only two shows scheduled outside of the U.S. The other is in Toronto, Ontario, on March 30.

Richie, who is now 67 years old, is headlining the show, and, according to the Pasadena Star News, it’s because he’s “hotter” now than Carey. His 2012 album Tuskegee — which was the first time he’s ventured into country music — went platinum and hit No. 1. Carey has had a more successful career: Her two recent albums sold 700,000 copies combined. Each of her albums before went platinum. She only needs a single at No. 1 for one more week to pass the artist with the most weeks at No. 1: Elvis Presley.

As the former crooner of The Commodores from the late 60s to early 80s, Richie saw great, classic singles hit No. 1, with “Brick House” and “Three Times a Lady.” In 1986, he won an Academy Award for “Say You, Say Me” when it was used in the movie, “White Nights.”

Carey has won five Grammys, 19 World Music Awards, 11 American Music Awards and 15 Billboard Music Awards. Her five-octave range earned her the title of “songbird supreme” by Guinness World Records.

Fans everywhere are sure to enjoy the mix of these two hitmakers as they take the stage for “All the Hits.” Shows are certain to sell out quickly, but competitively priced tickets can be found at Headline Tickets!
