Chicago and The Doobie Brothers North American Summer Tour

Chicago and The Doobie Brothers just announced their co-headlining tour in 2017, beginning on June 7 in Concord, California. The summer shows, which are scheduled to run through the end of July, is the latest in a series of tours between the bands. Chicago’s co-founder, Robert Lamm, said the tour is “the perfect summer line-up, playing dozens of the best-loved rockin’ pop classics. I’m happy to be hanging’ out with our ‘Doobie’ friends… a great band.”

Patrick Simmons, one of the founders of The Doobie Brothers said, “We know from past experience what a great show this is going to be for the audience. I’m sure there will be some fun musical surprises along the way too. It’s going to be a great summer.” The two bands have been incredibly busy, with Chicago booked for dates across the U.S. in February and March. The Doobie Brothers are due to hit Australia, Japan and New Zealand this spring.

Chicago came together in 1967 and has sold more than 100 million records. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, the band is one of the best-selling in the world. For more than 45 years, Chicago’s music has enthralled fans and it’s never left the airwaves. With a thick catalog of hits that include “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “You’re the Inspiration,” and “Hard Habit to Break,” the band proves time and again at sold-out shows that their music spans generations.

The Doobie Brothers also have an impressive history, selling more than 40 million records worldwide since forming in 1969. The band remains popular, due largely in part to their regular tours and constant Internet presence on social media. The band has seen its share of memorable members, including Michael McDonald, who brought a signature sound to the group in hits like “Takin’ It to the Streets,” and “It Keeps You Runnin’.”

These shows are sure to sell out quickly, so grab your tickets now to avoid missing your chance to catch Chicago and The Doobie Brothers North American Summer Tour beginning June 7.
