Martina McBride Announces Next Tour, “Love Unleashed”

Country music singer/songwriter Martina McBride just announced a 15-date tour across the United States, starting off in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on Oct. 14. The tour is in support of her 13th album, “Reckless,” via Nash Icon Records. Up until the new tour kicks off, McBride’s “Band Against Cancer Tour” will be making stops in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Nashville and Denver, with the last announced show in Broomfield, Colorado, on Oct. 8. She is joined by Cassadee Pope, Thompson Square and Hudson Moore on her current tour.

According to Rolling Stone, the name “Love Unleashed” is what she came up with for the tour as a way of fighting all of the bad news on television. She said she wants “the concert to be a place where people can share the common experience of music and how it can work its magic, as only music can.” Her latest single, “Just Around the Corner” also injects optimism in troubled times as it is about going through adversity and becoming stronger because of it.

“Reckless” reached #2 on Billboard’s Country chart, with appearances from Buddy Miller and Keith Urban. McBride has won many Country Music Association awards, including four for Female Vocalist of the Year. She has also won several Academy of Country Music awards, including two for Top Female Vocalist. For the last four years, she has been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. McBride has also been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards.

McBride’s tour is currently scheduled to go through Dec. 10, although more cities will likely be added. Some of the cities already scheduled include Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Nashville, Stamford, Connecticut, Dodge City, Kansas, and Des Moines, Iowa.
