Golden State Warriors Fighting for Best Season Ever

The Golden State Warriors already became the fastest team to get to 50 wins. They were 50-5, and one game ahead of the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls. That Bulls team is often considered the best to ever play.

The next milestone for which the Warriors are shooting, though, is 72 wins in a season. The Bulls got to 71 and no one has touched the record since — not even the Miami Heat with Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James.

The Warriors have been struggling — at least as much as the best team in the league can struggle — but they keep finding ways to win. They had a 23-point lead in the game against the Atlanta Hawks that got them to 50 points. They let it slip away in the second half, and then came back to win. The next time they met the Hawks, superstar and reigning MVP Stephen Curry was out with an ankle injury, and the game went to overtime. However, big man Draymond Green pulled a page out of Curry’s book and knocked down an off-balance three to seal the game.

Winning like this is good for the Warriors, as it will make them tougher in the postseason. Teams that coast through often aren’t ready for that challenge.

If the Warriors can reach that historic win total, or even surpass it, tickets to the games are going to be in high demand. The Warriors are already considered one of the top draws in the league and a team that is incredibly fun to watch. If they’re also breaking records and surpassing a team led by the iconic Michael Jordan to become the best of all time, they’re going to be amazing to see in person. Make sure you get your Warrior tickets early, or look into some of the earlier matchups to catch the Warriors on their march toward the record for season wins.
